Don’t Care
Don’t Care is a 2018 song by 2:45, blending indie rock, indietronica, electronic rock, post-punk energy, and psychedelic textures.
It is our queer song — a track about being fed up with noise, running through a world full of labels, flags, races, choices, and all the things people use to divide what should be free.
There is rebellion in it, but also tenderness — the feeling of not caring about the boxes people try to put us in, while caring deeply about love, peace, truth, and union.
A song for voices that refuse to be caged, and for the simple idea that love is still the only thing we’ve got.
Lyrically, the song strips away the superficial labels, categories, and social divisions that cage humanity. It dismisses flags, gender, looks, religion, and all those invented borders to ask for something much simpler: peace, union, and more love.
Some listeners have connected with its bold anti-label message, its post-punk attitude, and the feeling of a song that is both rebellious and full of heart.
Written some years ago in Buenos Aires, Argentina, this is the new remastered version, recorded in Bogota, Colombia.
Dedicated to Anïs, our feline zen master, for her teachings and funny moments in all our musical journeys.

Lyrics
Fed with noises,
We are voices.
Running races,
Caged by choices.
I don’t care about the colour of your flag
and I don’t care if you’re dividing all you are.
I want more love and it’s the only thing I want.
It’s all I care.
Fed with noises / I don’t care about
We are voices / I don’t care about
Running races / I don’t care about
Caged by choices.
I don’t care if you call me boy or girl
and I don’t care if you see me fat or slim.
I know the truth of what I am and feel.
It’s all I care.
I don’t care about the gender of your life
and I don’t care who’s your lover or your loves.
I just want more union and love.
And to know I care.
Fed with noises / I don’t care about
We are voices / I don’t care about
Running races / I don’t care about
Caged by choices.
I don’t care about the bible that you read
and I don’t care about the winner of your game.
I want more peace to be aware from within.
It’s all I care.
Fed with noises / I don’t care about
We are voices / I don’t care about
Running races / I don’t care about
Caged by choices.
I don’t care about the colour of your flag
and I don’t care if you’re dividing all you are.
I want more love and it’s the only thing we’ve got
I know I care.
Fed with noises / I don’t care about
We are voices / I don’t care about
Running races / I don’t care about
Caged by choices.
—
I don’t care.
I don’t care.
I don’t care about it.
Fed with noises / I don’t care about
We are voices / I don’t care about
Running races / I don’t care about
Caged by choices.
I don’t care.
I don’t care / we are voices
I don’t care about it / we are voices
What to do about…
