About Us

Two paths, one restless sound

245.rocks is the official home of 2:45 and 2:45 MIL, bringing together indie rock, electronic experimentation, microtonal melodies, binaural beats, and immersive sound.

Our sound moves between electronic rock and emotional noise — shaped by different musical backgrounds, obsessions, and the need to keep things alive rather than defined. It shifts between psychedelic rock and electronic textures, always searching for something that doesn’t sit still.

2:45 MIL — Microtonal Indietronica Lab

We create microtonal melodies that move beyond the traditional 12-note system, exploring alternative tunings and unexpected harmonics. We work with binaural beats and immersive soundscapes designed to shift perception when heard through headphones. We also build electronic hybrids where genres dissolve into new forms of listening.

It’s an open space for exploration, but it comes from the same core impulse as everything else we do: listening deeper and pushing sound further.

We grew up listening to artists like Syd Barrett, The Doors, Lou Reed, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Einstürzende Neubauten, Nine Inch Nails, Aphex Twin, Joy Division, Sumo, and Fela Kuti — among many others that still shape how we hear music today.

Over time, we moved from listening alone to building connections — with independent artists, curators, DJs, radio hosts, and producers. During the so-called “pandemic years,” that network became even more present, more necessary, and more alive.

People who listen to our music often describe it as a mix of indie rock, shoegaze, post-punk, indie pop, world music, krautrock, and electronic experimentation — but for us, it’s something that keeps shifting every time it is played.
