2:45 is an indie duo formed by two multifaceted artists mostly self-taught in many artistic disciplines. Melakki writes the lyrics, sings and plays the drums. Boolapp-Goro plays the bass guitar, sequences the synthesizers and also is in charge of the artwork with his paintings.
Both were born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since they met there, they started making music together spending endless hours creating, which ended up with an unique sound blending psychedelic rock with several electronic music genres. Somehow you can also notice the multicultural vibe in their music being influenced by the places where they lived: Buenos Aires, Madrid, Ibiza, Berlin and Bogotá, and where they also assisted to several concerts, parties and raves.
They grew up listening and loving music from Syd Barrett, The Doors, Lou Reed, Jimmy Hendrix, Nirvana, Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Einstürzende Neubauten, Aphex Twin, Joy Division, Sumo and Fela Kuti among others conforming an extensive list.
